Several months ago, the committee-helper dewan of Subud Chicago decided to have group events four times a year, one in each season. Our most recent one was the Breast Cancer Walk along Lake Michigan. July 19 we are planning a picnic in MIllennium Park in conjunction with a concert by the Grant Park Orchestra. Compositions will be by Dvorzak and Beethoven. The concert begins at 7:30 so we will meet at 6 P.M. for a picnic on the lawn.

Welcome to the new Subud Chicago website! It's a work in progress and will likely face many changes over the next few weeks. I plan to work on the layout, add pictures, profiles, and features like this newsfeed. Here, we can keep ourselves updated with important information about the group and individual members. If you have anything you would like to appear in the newsfeed, please e-mail me! And if you have any suggestions about things to add/change, please let me know! I am excited and grateful that I get to work with and for the group.

Seven golden circles transected by seven radial lines is the emblem of Subud. The circle has always been regarded as the symbol of endlessness, for is has no stopping point. The circle as a symbol means that belief in the possibility of unlimited development, endless progress of the human soul.
The seven circles indicate that this development implies different levels, and that within each level there is a source out of which all proceeds and into which it returns.
